Privacy Policy

Overview

HueCommand is designed with privacy in mind. The app controls your Philips Hue lights entirely over your local network. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

Local Network Communication

HueCommand communicates directly with your Philips Hue Bridge over your local Wi-Fi network. Your bridge credentials (IP address and application key) are stored only on your device and in your iCloud Keychain. They are never sent to our servers.

Anonymous Analytics

We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous usage data to help improve the app. This includes:

• App launches and feature usage (e.g., which screens are visited)
• Crash reports
• Device type and operating system version

This data is fully anonymous, cannot be linked to you personally, and does not include any information about your smart home setup, light configurations, or routines. TelemetryDeck uses differential privacy and does not collect advertising identifiers or personal data.

You can opt out of anonymous analytics at any time in the app under Settings > Privacy.

Hue Remote Access (Optional)

If you enable remote access to control your lights outside your home, HueCommand uses the official Philips Hue Remote API with OAuth 2.0 authentication. Your Hue account credentials are handled entirely by Philips Hue and are never accessed or stored by HueCommand.

Subscriptions & Purchases

HueCommand offers optional in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store and managed by RevenueCat. We do not have access to your payment information. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to manage subscription status. No personal data is shared.

Data We Do Not Collect

• Names, email addresses, or account information
• Location data
• Advertising identifiers
• Information about your smart home devices, rooms, or scenes
• Microphone audio (used only for real-time music-reactive features, never recorded or transmitted)

Third-Party Services

• TelemetryDeck — anonymous analytics. Their privacy policy.
• RevenueCat — subscription management. Their privacy policy.
• Philips Hue Remote API — optional remote access. Their privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

HueCommand does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
